Hello dearly missed friends,
After an eternity, I've finally found my way back to the internet and into this little space. And sadly, Blogspot is blocked in China! And how am I updating this from my end? Let's just say that there are wonderful blessings on the Internet that are the next best thing to sliced bread.
Sadly, the server cannot allow me to post pictures on blogger since this is a very primitive interface I am using. So all updated with pictures shall be coursed through my wordress account (which surprisingly is not banned!):

So it has been over a week since I have landed here in Shanghai, and it's been pretty much fun. Minus being nearly run over by bicycles, cars and motorcycles (since they apparently own the road), it's pretty okay here.
That, and it's just too frickin' cold! Like, it's really cold! I'm freezing my ass off. Things are getting colder too, and with our 45-minute walk to our classroom it can get really cold. Like, really cold.
And after three layers of clothes, boots, scarves and a thermal jacket, I still feel cold.
I'm cutting it short for now, my classmates are here and we'll be partying in the room. :D

Flight Canceled
Flight to Shanghai canceled due to bad weather in Shanghai. Zero visibility.
We were just a stone's throw away from the boarding gate and all of the sudden they canceled the flight.
Talk about a perfect way of deflating everybody's spirits.
Here's to a good flight tomorrow. (Granting that we'd be able to book a new flight for tomorrow.)
Maaan! :(

Official launch
So this is it. This shall be my official place for the next five months and the coming years - if I can haul my ass to the computer and update this thing regularly.
I'm off to Shanghai, China in about three days. I'm relatively done packing with a few excess kilos here and there (literally and figuratively, if you get what I mean). I've packed tons of deodorant, hair cream (because I'm vain when it comes to my hair - lest I look like a lion), and perfume. I'm still kind of wary of Chinese brands, but what the hell, you know what they say - "God made the world, and everything else is made in China." Hail the Chinese.
Here's to a good five months in China. I'm looking forward to the bunch of stuff we'd be learning. Because I'm geeky, therefore I am.
Since we live in an age where everybody needs to know what everyone else is doing - from eating munggos to taking a shower at 2 a.m., this blog shall serve the purpose of updating the entire world of my misadventures in China. Since Facebook and other social networking sites will be blocked, this shall do nicely.
Happy reading, people. I'll miss you, adobo. Hello, green tea!
PS: Yes, I shall miss you, Philippines. I am missing you already, Cebu. And dear friends, I'm missing you badly. And you, I miss you.
